“More Diagonals”

Pattern: All the Diagonals by myself
In “rainbow” color flow in a 7×6 layout similar to the “Throw” layout, but in baby-size blocks and borders (1.5″ finished). I made up another combination ;)

And if you look closely at my mock-up for this version, you will see that I planned on the 6×7 Throw layout and “messed that up” or as the progress pictures show, probably decided against it again. Do not remember why. *shrug*

IMO it is thankfully still gorgeous ;)

Technique: FPP for the blocks plus borders

Fabrics: 12 prints from the fabric collection “First Light” by Kimberly Knight for Ruby Star Society
Quilting Design: grid quilting in diamond form
Binding: by machine to front and back, including decorative zig-zag stitching

Costs are calculated via my Quilt Price Calculator: Factors are the size & pieces mentioned above, the presets for a baby quilt, plus a higher off-cut for the FPP technique.

Manual Correction:
The calculator is currently adding the higher off-cut to all the yardage, including the backing. Until I adjust the programming, I have manually corrected the yardage calculations by running it with and without high off-cut and taking the backing numbers from the “without” calculations.

Costs are calculated with 2.27 yards on the back, so we need to subtract the difference, here 0.6 yards, at 10.30 $/yd.

To be fair, I do not remember when I checked the exchange rates on the calculator, so there is probably something “not up to date” there, too. Here I just subtracted 10.30 Euro, which is probably still quite close ;)
