Day 16
Mystery Quilt
For those wanting to finish the top by Christmas, it is time to start building sections. If you did decide on the 24- or 36-block schedule, you will continue to sew blocks. No worries neither is better or “right”. Just do you! No quilt police, no bad feelings, please. I know all about these ;)
And if you decide to pull back your ambitions. That is fine too! It is supposed to be fun, so keep that in mind when setting or reaffirming your goal.
So how will we go about the sections and keep it a mystery? I have labeled them 1 to x for this mystery quilt. But they are not (!) in order. I want to keep the guessing game going for those of you who like the mystery.
And in case you are wondering: I am pressing my seams open.
And here is your task for today depending on your chosen version:
24 blocks:
sew (1) 6″ block
(your total should now be (7) 6″ blocks)
24 quilt top:
sew the first section
36 blocks:
sew (1) 6″ and (1) 3″ block
(your total should now be (7) 6″ blocks and (9) 3″ blocks)
36 quilt top:
sew the first section
